I've always been fascinated by history and old newspaper clippings in general, and I especially enjoy connecting them to my family history. Marriages, Social Commentary, Obituraries, and Funeral Notices can go along way to filling in some of those blanks! Not to mention the social history that gives you an idea of what life was like for your ancestor. I really like the old advertisements! When I subscribed to Ancestry's Historical Newspaper Collections, Genealogy Bank, Newspaper Archive, and World Vital Records, I was truely amazed at the amount of genealogical and historical information that many researchers are unable to view or simply overlook.
